Darkwood produces a small number of banjos a year from a workshop in Dorset, England.

 

Beautifully hand crafted and individually made from carefully selected natural materials, most of the components are designed and manufactured at the Darkwood workshop.

 

The ethos of Darkwood is to build high quality hand crafted banjos.  Each one is treated as an individual build, never rushed or compromised.

 

Darkwood designs individual models with names inspired by the wildlife of the woodlands of Dorset.

 

Each model has its own look and sound.  Their individual hand crafting gives them a unique character.
